Currently, we offer a single program with plans to introduce additional offerings later this year.

Our ethos is simple. To deliver the type of programs we would like our loved ones to receive, to ensure that no one gets overlooked, and everyone receives meaningful connections their later years.

HUMAN CONNECTION

Statistics show that feelings of isolation and loneliness are alarmingly common among the elderly population. According to recent studies, over a third of seniors regularly experience loneliness, and the numbers are even higher for those living in long-term care facilities or who are homebound. This sense of isolation can have serious consequences for both physical and mental health.

Human connection isn’t just about words; it’s about genuine interaction, understanding, and empathy. This connection can take various forms, such as a chat over coffee with a friend, a hug from someone after a long day, or in the simple touch of a hand.

Hands of Compassion is a program designed to offer physical and emotional comfort through the power of therapeutic touch.  This service is offered by a team of licensed volunteers to residents in long-term care and hospice settings. Using gentle hand and arm massage, we acknowledge their resilience and the unique stories they carry, letting them know that they’re seen and heard, giving them a sense of value and belonging.  This human connection can reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness, and say, “You’re cared about!” in one touch of the hand.
