Community Impact of Nebraska was born out of an understanding of the physical and emotional needs of those in long-term care and hospice settings. We believe that every individual deserves comfort and compassion in their advanced years, or when facing a terminal illness. Our vision is to see a world where those in the final chapters of life experience increased comfort, unwavering support, and overall well-being.
More than meets the eye.
In the eyes of many, we exist to support the needs – social, physical, and emotional. In the eyes of our recipients, we’re people that brighten their day, listen to them talk about their favorite memories, and show them how much they’re cared about.
We believe we're more than a non-profit organization. We’re the change we want to see in the world, a place where individuals in their twilight years remain integral to their community, and no one feels overlooked or left behind.

THE UNSEEN
The elderly population often goes unnoticed and is overlooked. As society rushes forward, we may unintentionally forget about those who have contributed so much over the years. Touch is such a fundamental part of the human experience, yet as we age touch often fades; and the elderly in long-term care can go days without meaningful touch. Through gentle hand and arm massage they can feel a sense of belonging and increased self-worth.

We understand that physical comfort is intertwined with emotional well-being. By focusing on the hands and arms - the very tools that have served those in hospice care throughout their lives - we provide a holistic experience that nurtures both body and soul; honoring them in their journey and helping them to leave this world gently, with dignity.
